Tom Santay received a Z. Smith Reynolds scholarship and attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he received his B.F.A. in Film Producing. While at UNCSA, he studied all aspects of production including camera composition, lighting, editing and most of all how to tell a good story.

In his senior year he took second place honors at the College Television Awards (Student Emmys) for producing "Woodrow Wilson."

After graduation, Tom returned to western North Carolina to start his own production company.

He has recently relocated to the west coast to further his work in video production.
